Overcoming The Taboo of Buying or Using Sex Toys

Posted by Jenn P. on

Is it really so taboo to buy or use sex toys?  No, it's not, it's actually rather normal.  We have transcended in these past few decades.  It's okay to be gay, we have actually legalized gay marriages.  We are accepting of transgender people, so what is so taboo about buying or using a sex toy?  Nothing, it's what society has put into your head in the past.  But, guess what ladies and gentleman, it's 2018 and it is totally normal and acceptable to be okay with your body and discovering yourself.

Buying and using or sex toys is not taboo.  It's part of sexual health and wellness.  The media is always hyping up "Healthy Living" and part of healthy living is being healthy sexually as well.  There are benefits to using sex toys.  Let's discuss the reasons why using a sex toy can be a healthy tool in your life.

Relationships for starters need to be healthy.  I am sure you have heard the old saying, a good sex life equals a good relationship.  That is very true, and sex brings couples closer together.  But what happens when things start to get boring in the bedroom, try bringing sex toys into the mix.  This can spice up a relationship.  There are toys for both men and women.  Many couples have begun using sex toys and have become more and more open with it.  It's okay to get your freak on!

There are also health benefits of using sex toys for masturbation.  An orgasm can relieve stress, beat feeling under the weather, release endorphins, and oxytocins.  For men there are even bigger benefits.  Prostate massagers, which are a sex toy can believe it or not, cut their chance of getting prostate cancer.  This has been proven in many studies.  For women, it can slow down the aging process in women in their 40's and 50's.

Lastly, it's just fun to be kinky and try new things.  It's totally okay to explore.  Some people are very into BDSM, which includes electrostimulation toys, bondage, whips, paddles, collars, dildos and much more.  Maybe, BDSM is not your cup of tea.  That's okay, some men are turned on by their ladies wearing a strap-on and pegging them.  Don't be afraid or shy.  Perhaps you’re not in a relationship, then what?  Simple, sex toys can keep you satisfied sexually, which is a way to be healthy.  It's much safer than meeting strangers for no strings attached sex.

One other thing, back when sex toys were truly considered taboo, the only toy on the market was a vibrator.  There are tons of toys today.  There are dildos, which are generally more realistic to the human male anatomy, which feels much more like a penis, than a cold piece of plastic you can put batteries in.  The vibrators today are not your mother's vibrator either.  They can reach your g-spot, twist, turn and give phenomenal orgasms.  We have sex machines, beads, g-spot stimulators, clitoral vibrators, prostate massagers and the list just goes on and on.

It's almost 2019, it is not taboo any longer to buy or use sex toys!
