The Importance of Sexual Wellness for Women

Just like men, sex is also just as important to women.  Sexual health is a necessity as human beings.  Just like physical and emotional health, sexual health has the same value.  This is 2018 and health is all over the news, how to be a healthy woman, how to do this and that.  The media always mentions physical fitness, dieting, eating right, getting sleep.  Same goes for emotional health, you're not feeling right, perhaps depressed, seek therapy or try anti-depressants.  Well, what about the importance of sexual wellness. 

Women need to take care of their bodies in every aspect.  So, sexual wellness is it so taboo?  I really don't think so.  We know men love to watch porn and masturbate.  Women masturbate too, and it's totally healthy and acceptable.  The wonderful thing is as time has gone on, they have started to make more and more "sex toys" to help improve our overall sexual wellbeing. 

Learning our bodies and what makes us feel good, can add to both emotional and physical health.  Orgasms are very powerful, not just only in the sense that they feel amazing, but can actually carry a lot of health factors.  There are in fact a lot of scientific facts that have been proven the overall health benefits of orgasms. Orgasms relieve stress.  Orgasm relives tension as oxytocin, which stimulates feelings of warmth and relaxation. Oxytocin is a hormone secreted by the posterior lobe of the pituitary gland, a pea-sized structure at the base of the brain. It's sometimes known as the "cuddle hormone" or the "love hormone," because it is released when people snuggle up or bond socially and studies have shown that Oxytocin can also be a natural anti-depressant.

Believe it or not, but orgasms help with insomnia.  There are over 3 million cases per year diagnosed with insomnia.  So think about if you were to take out your toy right before bedtime, you would release oxytocin and this would relax your body and help put you to sleep much faster. 

Here are a few other wonderful things that orgasms have been proven to help with.  They can help with pain.  You can thank the oxytocin and endorphins for that.  Pain detection increased by 74.6 percent and 106.7 percent respectively, when those women masturbated to orgasm.

An orgasm can help you live longer.  The cases studied were for both men and women.  However, they put more studying into men versus women on living longer, but the cases that were studied on women showed they had, in fact, lived longer than women who did not have many orgasms. 

They also stimulate the brain and help the aging process.  For us ladies, we want to look our best forever, as long as we can.  Now think about that ladies, slowing down the aging process.  No need for Botox! Instead consider a nice vibrator. Although the study did not find the reason why the study amongst the women in their 40's and 50's who had more orgasms compared to the ladies who did not.  The girls with more orgasms looked much younger than the ladies, who did not have sex or masturbate until orgasm.

So these are a few fun based, but true facts of the benefits of sexual wellness for women.  It's totally okay to enjoy and explore your body at any age, its a part of nature.  It can also come with a lot of wonderful health benefits.
